Fruit of the Spirit - VBS Decorations and Faithfulness

It must have been a fruitful summer.

Because across town,
my kids went to their Aunt's church VBS.

And guess what their theme was ????

Yep ... Fruit of the Spirit.

This was a kit my sister purchased and put together.

Meanwhile,
back at our church,
we worked on Faithfulness.

FAITHFULNESS:

White - To remind of that God is faithful to forgive us our sins if we confess and repent.

Rainbow - To remind us that God is faithful and will never again destroy the earth with a flood.

Bananas - Banana's grow on trees,
and you have to wait a while
and be faithful taking care of your tree
year after year
and you will get lots of bananas.
Bananas also have a rainbow curved shape.
And are white on the inside,
when you peel back the thick resistant skin,
you get a sweet treat.

Photo Fun : MESSY

Photo Fun:

Messy

Song ... helping Papa with an engine

at this age,
she planned to grow up to be a
"dirty old man"
just like her Papa.
(Meaning - a machinest)

The game involved tossing a raw egg back and forth,
slowly getting farther and farther apart.

Story caught it right between the eyes.

Story - assisting with the color and shaving cream fun
with the preschool kids.

"Mom, I fell in the dirt."
Hot sweaty kid + sandy yard + falling face first =
one interesting face

Mud Bugs
You should see the front ...
but I have to stop at 5.

I considered a picture of Scholar at about 5 seconds old.
and a picture of Sunshine mid fall...
and a pic of my blonde haired niece covered in mud ...
and a newspaper article about Song and worms ....
and really wanted a good spaghetti face picture
(but couldn't find the good ones.)
I couldn't find Scholar covered in pumpkin goo either.
I also avoided the pictures of the messy house
or messy rooms.

In general,
I don't care if the kids get messy -
as long as it is either in the kitchen or outside or in the tub.

Plus,
If I don't have time to make a mess AND
clean it up afterwards,
we avoid it in the first place.
This includes pulling out toys that tend to be difficult to put away.
